Il Fanale makes lights from brass, copper and iron and finishes the metal by oxidation. It carries on after installation: the light’s colour changes over time.

Fausto Dalla Torre and Luisa Martin opened the workshop near Treviso in 1979; Tomas and Marzia Dalla Torre run the factory now. The metal is worked by hand: shaped, turned, soldered, polished. Murano glass and Bassano ceramics come from other craftsmen.

## Which collections to look at

- 01 Split Wall lights in bent sheet metal by Meneghello Paolelli studio: a round swivelling one and two rectangular ones, 60 and 100 cm high.
- 02 Mask Two wall lights in dark brass, one rounded and one square. Rated IP65: they go indoors and outdoors.
- 03 Dea Two concentric iron rings, as a wall light and a pendant. In 2026 the series won the Contract category of the Venetian Smart Lighting Award.
- 04 Dolmen Lorenzo Zanovello shapes the ceramic by hand: a pendant, three wall lights and two table lamps.

The factory changes the finish, size and light source of any light in the catalogue. A bespoke piece goes from sketch to drawing, model and prototype with finish samples.

Yes. The factory finishes the metal by oxidation, and it carries on after installation: the tone of brass, copper and iron changes gradually.

### Can Il Fanale lights go outdoors?

Yes, but not all. Mask wall lights, the Sfera series and Pantarhei garden bollards are IP65. For the bathroom: the Foam wall light, IP44.

### Can I order a different size or finish?

Yes. The factory changes the finish, size and light source of any model. It doesn’t take back modified or bespoke lights.
