Ribadao makes Portuguese wooden floors: oak for rooms, tropical species for restaurants, ipe and bamboo for terraces. We’ll compare samples in your light.

Ribadao has made wooden floors since 1976. The company is owned by the Tavares family; its office is in Viseu, and its two factories are in Ovoa and São João de Areias.

## Four kinds of floor

| Collections | What it is | Wood |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Mountain, Rio, Riviera | engineered board | Rio and Riviera: European oak |
| Solid | solid 14 mm board, 70–140 mm wide | five colours: Vieux Gris, Nuage, Natura, Volga, Tabac |
| Exotic Skins | solid and multi-layer board | muiracatiara, jatobá, sucupira, walnut |
| Island | decking, hidden fixings | ipe, itaúba, Nordic pine, bamboo |

Riviera engineered boards come in standard sizes, so they’re easier to transport and lay. Decking comes with a smooth or grooved surface.

## Questions about Ribadao

### Does Ribadao make decking?

Yes, the Island collection: ipe, itaúba, Nordic pine and bamboo. Smooth or grooved surface, hidden fixings.

### How is engineered board different from solid wood?

Solid is a single solid board, 14 mm thick. Engineered boards are multi-layer; at Ribadao these are the Mountain, Rio and Riviera collections.

### Who lays the floor?

Your own fitters lay the floor. We deliver boards from a single batch and give them the laying plan.

### How long does the parquet take?

It depends on the collection and the area. We’ll confirm it with the price.
