Porada in Barcelona
Porada means solid wood furniture: ash and walnut in tables, beds and shelving. We’ll show you wood samples and help choose the species to suit your floor and doors.
Porada makes solid wood furniture in Cabiate, in the province of Como. Luigi Allievi founded the company in 1968 to expand the chair making that had begun in 1948. Today the catalogue has tables, chairs, beds, wardrobes, shelving and mirrors.
Where Porada uses solid wood
- 01 Infinity table A glass top rests on two bases in solid ash or walnut. This is the table in the first photo on this page.
- 02 Ziggy Bed Soft bed The frame is ash or Canaletto walnut, and the headboard is upholstered.
- 03 Aria shelving Solid ash uprights are fixed to the wall or ceiling and hold the shelves and drawers.
The catalogue also has Quadrifoglio and Ziggy dining tables, Apollo, Killian, Morfeo and Softbay beds, Gladko and My Closet dressing rooms, and Domino and Kvadro shelving.
Porada grew out of chair making that began in 1948, and it makes all its furniture in Italy.
