KDLN in Barcelona
At KDLN, a guest designer designs every lamp. The best known is Kushi: an opal glass globe on a metal rod. It comes in every type, from pendant to battery-powered lamp.
KDLN started in Milan in 1996; its office is now in Trezzano sul Naviglio, near Milan. Patricia Urquiola, Marc Sadler, Sebastian Herkner and Cristina Celestino design for it. The lights are made of glass, metal and ceramic.
Kushi: a globe on a rod
The shade is blown from two layers of opal glass, and a metal rod runs through it. Kushi is Japanese for “skewer”. Alberto Saggia and Valerio Sommella designed the collection.

Oliver Schick designed four lamps: a pendant, a 150 cm floor lamp, a table lamp and a wall light. Finishes: black and brass.

KDLN in Spain
The Kushi pendant hangs in the Maleva bakery in Marbella and in the Mediolanum bank office in Bilbao. In a private house in Marbella, 18 Dew glass drops make up a chandelier for the hall.
Questions about KDLN
Do KDLN lights dim?
Almost all LED models do. Kushi 10th also changes its colour temperature from 1800 to 3000 K.
Can a chandelier be built for a project?
Yes. Dew drops make up a chandelier in the shape you need, from two elements. The factory paints Kate pendants in a colour to order.
Is there a water-protected wall light?
Yes: the model is simply called IP55. Its shade is blown opal glass. The other lights are rated IP20.
How long do KDLN lights take?
It depends on the model and finish. We’ll give you the lead time with the price.
